Mellow, Jell-O, Hello

The snow laid itself across the concrete sidewalk that night, as we marched to the ice rink with the same incentive. We hadn't held hands, we had never hugged long enough to have our chemical energy transfer itself through our skin into one anothers bloodstream, we had never kissed.

Our fingers laced themselves between the shoe strings of our ice skates, they held on to the metal beam, the sharp edge on our ice skates scraped the ice leaving a hidden trail. The dusk turned into night, and the sun had set, darkness fell over the rink that night: leaving only the stars and moon to illuminate the sky.

I held you hand, overwhelmed with this new emotion, I laughed, we laughed and shared a moment that I will never forget. Your lips slipped, fell onto mine we gazed deep into eachothers eyes, it lasted only a few seconds, only a few seconds.

A first kiss turned into countless ones, that turned into a relationship - endless phonecalls, hugs and laughter, but its not glamorized and we've had to work. We are two years in the making with stumbles falls and things that went wrong, but you are my first love. We are more than just together, but today were celebrating the days we were not, unofficially two years.
