I am no longer a fictional Pin Up girl from the 1950's, I am no longer Doll Face. That is not who I am. I do not live in the 1950's, and although I am an old soul, I am moving on and living for what today has offered me, and that is the future.
I have Declared myself Laura Paola, the name I was blessed with. I have adopted this name, and someday, I will be crowned with Laurels.
For two long years I experienced and saw many things, but growth requires acceptance. I grew into a person I am proud of, a poet, an activist, a human. Through growth you learn to accept, I have accepted the name I have tried for so long to erase off by birth certificate.
